Our Story

Two School Friends. One Shared Dream.

Himanshu and Gambhir have been friends since school — the kind who did everything together. So when one of them turned up with an idea, the other was already in.

In September 2023, Gambhir brought the idea. He is the one who would rather be on a road than anywhere else, and he had watched enough travellers get handed a badly kept bike at a price nobody would explain. His pitch was simple: rent bikes the way we would want one rented to us.

Himanshu Bijalwan brought the other half. He designs websites and works in SEO and digital marketing. So while Gambhir sorted out the bikes, Himanshu built this site, put the shop on Google Maps, and wrote down the things most rental shops leave you to discover at the counter — what it costs, what the deposit is, what happens if you are late.

On 15 April 2024, they opened at Shyampur Haat Bazar.

The split has not changed since. Gambhir is at the shop. He hands over almost every bike himself, and when you message on WhatsApp it is usually him typing back. Himanshu works from home, in code, and comes in when he is needed. And when Gambhir disappears on a ride of his own — which he does, because that is who he is — Himanshu is the one behind the counter.

That is the whole company. Two school friends: one who likes building things, one who likes riding them. No call centre, no manager — just the two people whose names are on the door.

Our shop is at Shyampur Haat Bazar — the closest counter for bike rent in Nepali Farm — so you can pick up your ride as soon as you enter Rishikesh.

How does pricing work for a longer stay?

1–3 days is the daily rate, 4–29 days is the weekly rate, and 30+ days is the monthly rate. Send your exact dates on WhatsApp and we will work out the total for you.

How do I actually book?

Message us on WhatsApp with your dates and the bike you want, then pick up at our Haat Bazar shop in Shyampur, Rishikesh. Bring your original Driving Licence and Aadhaar Card plus the ₹1,000 refundable deposit.

What documents do I need to rent a bike in Rishikesh?

Bring your original driving licence and Aadhaar card when you pick up the bike. Foreign riders should carry a passport and an International Driving Permit, and message us on WhatsApp before booking so we can confirm what is needed for your country. Our documents guide has the full list.

How much is the security deposit for a rental bike?

The deposit is a flat ₹1,000 per vehicle and it is refundable. It is the same ₹1,000 for the Activa 125, the Apache RTR 160 and the Hunter 350 — there is no higher deposit for the bigger bike. The deposit is separate from the rent, and fuel is not included in either.

How much does it cost to rent a bike in Rishikesh?

Bike rental in Rishikesh at our shop starts from ₹500 a day for the Honda Activa 125, ₹800 a day for the TVS Apache RTR 160 and ₹1,000 a day for the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. These are the lowest weekday off-season rates; weekends, October to December and long hill routes such as Chopta or Badrinath cost more, so always ask for your exact dates. Stay 4 days or longer and the daily rate drops 10%; 30 days or longer, 30%. On top of rent there is a flat ₹1,000 refundable deposit and a ₹500 advance to confirm the booking.

How much does it cost to rent a bike for an hour in Rishikesh?

We do not rent by the hour. Every booking is a full day, from pickup until 8 PM, and the Activa 125 from ₹500 is the cheapest way to have a scooty for a whole day of Rishikesh sightseeing. If you only need a bike for two or three hours, the day rate still applies. Returns after 8 PM are ₹100 an hour.

Is there Rapido or Uber in Rishikesh?

App taxis and bike taxis are patchy in Rishikesh: Uber and Ola cars do show up around the railway station and Nepali Farm, but availability drops fast towards Tapovan, Laxman Jhula and the hill roads, and there is no reliable Rapido service. Most visitors use shared autos, e-rickshaws or a rented scooty. A self-drive Activa from our shop at Shyampur costs from ₹500 for the whole day, which is usually less than two or three app rides.

Can I rent a scooty in Rishikesh without a driving licence?

No. A valid original driving licence is mandatory for every rider, on the Activa 125 as much as on the Apache or the Hunter, and we cannot hand over a vehicle without it. Bring your Aadhaar card as ID as well. Foreign riders need a passport and an International Driving Permit. A photo of the licence on your phone is not enough — the original has to be with you at pickup.

Is renting a bike in Rishikesh worth it?

For most visitors, yes. Renting a bike from ₹500 a day costs about the same as two or three app-taxi rides, and the places people come for are spread out: from our shop at Shyampur it is 11 km to Ram Jhula, 13 km to Laxman Jhula, 18 km to Neer Garh waterfall and 32 km to Neelkanth. With your own scooty you stop where you like and are not waiting for a ride back. If you are staying for a single day inside Tapovan and walking everywhere, a bike is not necessary.

Is there a kilometre limit on a rented bike in Rishikesh?

We do not put a kilometre figure on the booking. Fuel is not included: the bike comes with a little starter petrol, enough to reach the petrol pump about 500 m away, and you fill up there. For a long hill trip or a multi-day ride, message us on WhatsApp before booking so we can suggest the right model and the right number of days.

Do you deliver the bike to my hotel in Rishikesh?

Delivery is ₹100 and covers Nepali Farm, Shyampur, Tapovan, IDPL and Muni Ki Reti. It is not free, and it does not cover Ram Jhula or Laxman Jhula — for those areas you pick up at the shop. Message us on WhatsApp with your location before you book.

When do I have to return the bike?

We are open 24×7, so you can book, pick up or reach us any time. The vehicle has to be back by 8 PM — that is the daily return deadline. Returns after 8 PM are ₹100 an hour.

Can international tourists rent?

We have not fixed one licence rule for every country yet, so please ask us on WhatsApp before you book and we will confirm exactly what you need for your licence.
